Electron paramagnet ic resonance, magnet ic suscepti bility and superox ide d ismutase (SOD) activity measurements o f imidazolate bri dged [(Salval)Cu-lm-Cu(Salval)]Na, [(Salval)Cu-lm-Ni (Salval)]Na and [(Salval)Cu-lm-Zn(Sa lva l)1 a complexes, [where salval = salicyledenevalinate, im = imidazolate ion,] are described . Related mononuclear copper(l l) compel xes are also synt hesized . T he p H-depe ndent EPR and electronic spectroscopic stud ies of frozen 50% aq ueous DMSO so luti on of homoand heterobinucJear complexes have been found to be stable over the wide pH range.
